COACHING: GETTING OUT OF HUMANITARIAN WORK

There are two groups of people in aid: those who want to get into aid work and those who want to get out of aid work. For those who want to get into de Aid Work there are more information than for those who are tired to travel the world jumping from a mission to another. Working in this sector for several year could lead in burnout, family detachment or difficulties to adaptation.

I have listened lots of stories of aid workers desperate to quit not just the field, but the sector altogether,

I pass through the process of leaving aid work myself and I have to admit that is not an easy move.

If you are feeling that it is the time to get out of Aid Work but you don´t know how to begin with, I propose you a personal coaching with the goal to: detect practical issues you have to take into account, explore your dreams and you professional options, construct your new project and avoid the temptation to return to the "easy" aid work.

TO BEGIN WITH, HERE YOU HAVE THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP:

BE PATIENT AND COMPASSIONATE WITH YOURSELF

Probably, motivation for entering international development was to create meaning for yourself. Now you are struggling because you have changed values, you have lost your faith in aid work or simply you are tired or bored. Aloud you to feel lost, opting to change your life to feel better in your own skin is about being compassionate with yourself.
