During the last decade the Humanitarian Aid sector has become a more and more professionalized labor market. The number of International NGOs and local organizations has grown and there are now a wide variety of projects and careers in these sector. For many people this is an unknown world and are not aware about the profesional opportunities that NGOs are offering at the moment. However, it is important to understand and develop the adequate competencies required to be able to work as humanitarian professional.
I have been working with 2 of the biggest and more professionalized International NGOs (Doctors Withouth Borders and Oxfam), both in the field and in Head Quarters.
